Pinkcurrant Rossalin x1 Bare Root Plant
- A rare variety giving intense pink berries
- Satisfyingly sweet, not sharp and tart
- Delivered to you as garden-ready bare-root specimen
Look forward to the generous clusters of pinkcurrants in June on well-furnished bushes with Rossalin from June. Pluck berries straight from the bush and into your mouth as a refreshing treat. There will still be enough to gather for indoors where they make great gin and dessert side decorations.
Rossalin is an ideal variety for home-growing when your plot is subjected to wet conditions and this plucky pinkcurrant thrives even in hilly area. It is equally happy growing in the low counties of East Anglia and Lincolnshire too.
Ideas for the garden:
Plant your pinkcurrant Rossalin in a 40cm diameter container filled with rich John Innes No3 compost and some pre-planting soft-fruit fertiliser. This will get your bare-root plant to a flying start.
How your plants arrive:
Your pinkcurrant plant arrives to you as a bare-root specimen with some dormant stems but more crucially a healthy set of roots which are eager to get into the ground and grow well over the cold months to support strong stems from the following spring.
If you can’t plant your pinkcurrant plant straight away we recommend that you keep your bare-root plant in a cool, and light position (but away from direct sun) and keep the soil well-watered but not waterlogged. Aim to plant within 10 days from delivery.See Full Description +
